Join the Expo Expansion Team

BEPC Expo is seeking participants from the spiritual community to help guide the next evolution of the BEPC Expo through a limited duration volunteer role on the Expo Expansion Team. Members of the Expansion Team provide guidance and implementation support for key elements of the Expo strategy in a collaborative role with the BEPC Board of Directors, support staff and other volunteers. The Expo takes place October 18-19, 2025 at Kent Commons in Kent, WA. and is the largest expo of its kind in Washington.  

The theme for the October Expo  is “Exploring the Liminal Path.” 

Selected applicants will join an existing team of Board Members and Expansion Team members to inform and develop ideas that address one of the following three strategic imperatives:

  • Create compelling, exciting and educational featured speaker events, helping to identify and engage subject matter experts with established notoriety and visibility;

  • Develop effective sales and marketing strategies that increase public attendance and vendor and practitioner participation in the Expo; and

  • Pioneer an effective diversity effort that engages and grows participation and attendance from key groups we wish to engage, in alignment with the core values of BEPC to create the hub and heart of the spiritual community in the Pacific Northwest.

Process and Timeline
Prospective participants are being invited to participate in a three step process in which they will ultimately prepare and present 1-2 creative ideas to the Board and current Expansion Team members that address one or more of the strategic imperatives. 

Step One: Express Your Interest
Interested participants should fill out the form above. In return, they will receive an invitation to join a briefing call to learn more about BEPC’s Expo strategy and how they can participate.

Step Two: Join a Briefing Call
Prospective participants are invited to attend a 30 minute briefing call plus Q&A to gain more detail about this opportunity, BEPC, and to have any questions answered. Briefing calls will be held on Monday June 30, 2025 from 12-1pm PT and on Tuesday July 8 @7-8pm PT. Please fill out the form above telling us which call you can attend.

During the briefing calls, the BEPC Board and current Expansion Team members will help prospective Expansion Team participants learn more about the opportunity and next steps by conducting a group briefing call with all interested participants by: 

  • Providing key information about BEPC’s goals, strategies, current opportunities and challenges, including Mission, Vision and Values that inform and guide decision-making;

  • Describing current and past efforts and activities that may impact future decisions;

  • Explaining decision making criteria in selection of applicants for Expansion Team roles;

  • Defining duration of the engagement, anticipated time investment and activities, and expectations of selected participants; and

  • Answering any questions that participants may have to help them formulate ideas. 

Step Three: Prepare a Brief Presentation of Ideas
Post briefing calls, prospective participants will have an opportunity to present 1-2 ideas on a call with the BEPC Board and current Expansion Team members. This is intended to be an informal, conversational process in which the participant describes their ideas and answers questions, with special attention given to a) succinct description of the idea, b) a clear explanation of how they would implement that idea collaboratively on the Expansion Team, and c) what they believe the outcome or result of that idea would be. Times and dates for the presentation calls are flexible and will be determined based on the needs of the participants.

Invitations to Join
Post presentations, the BEPC Board and Expansion Team members will  invite selected participants to join the Expansion Team based on review criteria that will be clearly described during the briefing calls. Expansion Team participation kicks off in late July and concludes with the successful completion of the Expo in late October or early November.
