We are seeking philosophically aligned applicants to fill a combined Project, Events & Sales Manager position reporting to the Board of Directors. This role contributes to charting and building the future of the organization through participation in the Expansion Team, a group of individuals from the community that develops a guiding strategy to differentiate and elevate the Expo experience for attendees and the entire organization for the larger community.

We’re ideally looking for one person to work a fluctuating range of hours, averaging 10-15 hours/week. As we approach our large events twice a year, the hours increase to 20-50 hours/week for 3-5 weeks. This is a 1099 contract position: this person will ideally be in or near Greater Seattle for hybrid events, our in-person Expos in Kent (April + October), be able to lift 40+ lbs (tables, chairs, tablecloths, boxes of supplies) and have their own laptop and smartphone.

The most successful candidates will demonstrate sufficient mastery at project management, event management and sales, and be:

1) conscious, authentic, spacious, collaborative, and intuitive (and/or enjoy the intuitive/metaphysical/healing community);

2) a believer in and aligned with our mission, vision and values;

3) excited by stretch goals and comfortable being accountable (take project and financial goals with some direction and then “own” them);

4) able to upwardly manage the Expansion Team and Board (e.g., convince us when a risk is worth it);

5) gregarious, socially connecting, and at ease meeting customers and leading events;

6) very intelligent, strategic, organized, timely, grounded, and methodical; and

7) entrepreneurial, savvy, and nimble;

8) intending to stay in and optionally grow beyond this role for at least a few years, not only for one season.

In this role, you’ll do:

Project Management: juggle details in emails and google drive files for all our events and projects, plus prioritize your own tasks;

Event Management: prepare for and run monthly presentations, coordinate and chair the preparation for and execution of our twice-yearly expo (we’ll train you to: prepare materials, coordinate with collaborators, set up and run the show, supervise volunteers, coordinate with other team members);

Hot, Warm & Cold Sales: sell memberships, Expo booths, ads, and sponsorships;

Informally Oversee & Coordinate with our Admin & Social Media staff person; and

Limited Executive & Administrative work: electronic file management, document editing, data entry, customer communication (email, phone, text), calendering and zoom invitations, etc.

To succeed, you’ll:

  • Enjoy and regularly use personal/spiritual growth tools

  • Be responsible and response-able

  • Be professional and sufficiently sophisticated to meet our clients

  • Be authentic and casual with members of our team

  • Be robust, energetic and strong enough for occasional long work days (during the Expo)

  • Be direct and honest plus share your opinions

  • Be great at both giving and receiving feedback

  • Own your part in learnings, promptly face what’s not working and make improvements

  • Be confident to make decisions and collaborative to ask questions and follow directions

  • Work strategically, efficiently and productively

  • Communicate clearly with great grammar and spelling

  • Be comfortable with including and celebrating diversity

Compensation could be hourly or a set monthly retainer (that we’d tune if the work substantially expands) plus an incentive.

1) a simple and honest email (cover letter) that conveys why you are a great fit for this role and our organization,

2) a resume, and

3) links to your social media profiles (e.g., LinkedIn, FB, IG).

No calls please.
